World’s oldest running car is up for sale. The auction shall be closely followed by heritage car enthusiasts as this shall be an opportunity to grab a piece of history. The 1884 quadricycle was originally built and owned by French pioneer automaker Count de Dion, dubbed “La Marquise,” after the Count de Dion’s mother and has the distinction of being restored for road ready condition.
Automotive shows come and go, with a few touching the heights and fan following ala Top Gear. Even Top Gear had to bear the shut-down of its Australian quest and TV screens could not see it in full glory. We will not be able to see it coming back however Discovery is at the brinks of launching an entirely new channel called Velocity for anything that comes under the category of “vehicle” but more specifically for 4-wheelers.

Porsche has revealed the latest variant of its insanely popular 911, the 911 speedster limited edition. Only 356 cars will be manufactured in this category. This number goes to show Porsche’s homage to 1956 356 speedster.
The 2012 Ford Focus shall incorporate what the company calls improved crash protection air bags. The technology features side and front air bags which are designed to deploy and match an occupants body features. Special computer system shall sense and analyse the passenger’s body shape and deploy the air bags with appropriate force and inflation.
The italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari has decided to call back all of its 458 Italia models after numerous reports of the model catching fire. The manufacturer has claimed that its dedicated engineers have flown around the world in order to investigate what they termed as “thermal incidents”.

Nissan, the Japanese manufacturer, have revealed first images of its face-lifted GTR. Although the main changes are visual, an upgraded engine is also expected. The refreshed version of the GTR shall be available in market later this fall.
